Last week, Sygris participated in the 2025 Annual Conference of DIRSE titled “Omnibus Proposal: European Competitiveness and Sustainability,” one of the sector’s most prominent sustainability events.
The event, held at the headquarters of the Confederation of Business Associations of the Balearic Islands (CAEB), brought together experts and professionals to analyse the “Omnibus Proposal” and discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by business transformation within the European agenda.
From the outset, the event emphasised efforts to create strategic alliances and promote collaborative spaces. During the inaugural session, Yolanda Barqueros presented DIRSE Balearic Islands’ roadmap, highlighting the goal of sharing experiences that drive the transformation of the business fabric. Additionally, Carlos Arango, General Director of DIRSE, briefly emphasised the importance of consolidating an active network of sustainability professionals across the region, laying the groundwork for knowledge exchange tailored to each area’s specific characteristics.
In his address, Cristóbal Mora, ESG Scientist at Sygris and delegate of DIRSE Balearic Islands, underscored the importance of strengthening the regional ecosystem. “We aim to contribute to creating collaborative and training spaces that help island companies successfully face the regulatory and strategic challenges of the European agenda,” he stated, reflecting Sygris’s perspective on the need to adapt to an ever-evolving environment.
In the presentation by our CCO, Juan Pablo Gallardo, the strategic value of digitising and enhancing sustainability reports was discussed. According to Gallardo, “beyond regulatory compliance, having transparent reports adds value to organisations, improves their financial valuation, and strengthens market credibility.”

The participation of Raquel San Jaime in the roundtable provided a practical and committed perspective. Through her intervention, our Sustainability Director emphasised the importance of collaboration and the exchange of best practices to drive real changes in the business environment. Her contribution, from Sygris’s standpoint, highlighted how dialogue among various stakeholders is essential to building a sustainable future.
Participating in this event offered us the opportunity to update our perspectives, exchange ideas, and strengthen our network in the field of sustainability. Each experience and proposal shared during the event reinforces our commitment to innovate and adapt to a constantly evolving business environment. At Sygris, we are convinced that dialogue and collaboration are fundamental to driving changes that benefit both our clients and society at large.
